Mockingbird Values

Mockingbird strives to teach according to six values. These values are embedded in our instructional approach.

Our power lies in our ability and willingness to articulate purpose, rationale, and reason. We earn credibility through transparent communication.

We balance work with play so that we do not become exhausted and weary.

We embrace the challenge of continued improvement. We are not afraid of personal
or professional development.

We infuse joy, humor, and curiosity into
learning. We take teaching seriously and
ourselves lightly.

We do not confuse style with strategy.
Strategy is technique and style is personality
of technique implementation.

The time to begin improvement is now! We cannot afford to wait. The only thing we pass to future educators is a better learner.
