Virtual Workshop: Visible Learning and Learning Strategies for the COVID 2.0 Classroom
October 7 @ 10:00 AM - 11:30 PM CDT
Education in the COVID 2.0 classroom* demands independent learners that can function as their own tutors and mentors when they are isolated from teachers and support.
COVID learning over the past year has revealed that many students are TEACHER-DEPENDENT. These students lack the learning-to-learn strategies and confidence they need to become self-sufficient and independent learners.
Visible learning is making the process of learning CLEAR AND SEEN. VISIBLE Learning strategies help students understand the WHAT, WHY, HOW, and WHAT IT MEANS to have learned during a lesson so that learning is EXPLICIT and TRANSPARENT.
In this workshop, learn how master educators use VISIBLE LEARNING strategies to foster strong mentor|tutor relationships with learners and help learners develop teacher-independence.
* a COVID 2.0 classroom is a classroom that may oscillates between virtual and in-person in response to COVID Delta.
